Aaron’s believes it’s important to be more than a rent to own retailer in our communities. We are committed to making a positive impact on them.
Through the Aaron’s Gives program, we give of our time and financial resources to help strengthen our communities at both the local and national level. In 2021, total giving under the Aaron’s Gives program exceeded $1.2 million.
While we are pleased to partner with more than 260 charitable organizations, with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), Warrick Dunn Charities (WDC), and Kurt Warner’s First Things First Foundation (FTFF).
Makeovers and More for Boys & Girls Clubs of America
Since 2015, we have surprised teens at 52 local BGCA Keystone Clubs by breathing new life into their meeting spaces. These club makeovers include approximately $20,000 worth of new furniture, decor, and electronics, all of which is delivered and installed by dedicated and caring Aaron’s Team Members.
The Keystone Club makeovers have been so impactful for everyone involved that, late last year, Aaron’s re-committed to BGCA with an additional 20 months and $800,000 of support. This renewed commitment includes five new Keystone Club makeovers and a new element — the implementation of a Teen Mental Health First Aid program designed to help teach students to identify, understand, and respond to the mental health needs of their peers. Aaron’s will also serve as a Gold Sponsor of the National Keystone Conference, a BGCA summer leadership conference that gathers teens from all over the country.
Establishing Family Homes with NFL Stars Warrick Dunn and Kurt Warner
We also partner with former NFL greats Warrick Dunn and Kurt Warner’s Homes for the Holidays programs. During our 19-year partnership, we have provided furniture, electronics, appliances, and decor for hundreds of homes for single parents and their children.
Our most recent partnership with Warrick Dunn Charities gifted furnishings to two families in Aaron’s home state of Georgia. We commit $10,000 worth of merchandise to each of our recipient’s homes, fully furnishing them and helping these first-time homeowners break cycles of generational poverty.
The financial and hands-on support we provide to our communities at the store level and beyond reward Aaron’s Team Members with big smiles and full hearts and we are deeply invested in watching how simple efforts empower stronger, healthier communities in the long term.
